5 Tips To Read A Book

Ever since the creation of the earth in other to learn one must have to read.

There’s an old quote that says ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’ this is because ideas which are written down as changed a whole lot, in the heart of men. Reading broadens the mind and creates a deep understanding. 

Here are 5 tips to read a book.

When you create interest in you, the more reading becomes part of you. However, your case could be in reading books, it’s better to pick books that interest you.

It’s important to prioritize your reading and not to conflict it with other irrelevant times, you may decide to change the hours of NetFlix or Youtube for reading if you feel you are not getting value from them. You have 24hours in a day so find out the time that works best for you in reading.

Reading widely is part of what increases your understanding and gives you a vast knowledge of what a lot of things. 

We live in an age where we overflow with a lot of information, but reading is the main way to take advantage of it. It could seem boring while doing it but put all interest in it and read from fiction to non-fiction, current affairs, biographies, histories and a lot more.

When you inculcate the habit of reading, you won’t see it as a job instead it becomes part of you, a new habit is not that easy to inculcate but with the discipline to read every time even without depending on your mood, you’ll find reading as an incredible part to follow.

Reading sometimes takes a lot of processes to assimilate. 

There is a reading process called metacognition, which simply means ‘Knowing about Kowing’ you can be in a noisy environment reading for 3 hours compared to a tranquil space where you read for just an hour, there’s a lot of difference right? 

A quiet place of reading would be able to make you comprehend things faster. So why not grab your books in your hand with a writing pad and switching your phone to silent to avoid distraction.
